Description

Well I'm mainly a nub at drawing, but I figured I'd post this and maybe people will tell me what I'm doing wrong.

It's real simple, and I used a "toy" of the Major I have (I have pretty much all the collectables from the series/manga/movies).

Hope ya like it, and tell me what ya think.

It's pretty good for a nub. :D

The head's a little small, however. also, the hands need a little work -- I noticed you didn't draw them while you were making your guidelines. It might help if you just put down a rough pair to make sure everything is proportioned and positioned right (don't worry, hands are one part of a pic that I dread doing, too. I still think I suck at them, myself. D: ).

Also, might I suggest you try different kinds of guideline techniques while your still trying to find your style. Maybe even try the full on 3D shapes once -- it's a little time consuming, but it can help your pic from ending out flat. Personally, I've never really much cared for using guidlines that much, but I still always, always strat my pic with a circle for the head.. so go fig.

Also (more personal opinion. you can ignore this if you want, since it's just what I tend to do.. ^^; ), in lieu of using guides, if a pose I'm doing is a little trying, or sometimes just for no reason at all, I'd first draw the character in the nude (not detailed or anything.. D: ) just to make sure that everything is fine underneath before I put some clothes on them. Though sometimes I feel bad having to cover them up if the character's wearing a lot of clothes or something that hides their figure (especially if the anatomy came out nice..).

Well anyway, I've said enough. Not sure if I was much help, but anyway, keep it up, and GJ!
